Just one kilometer north of Laem Singh beach lies the popular Surin beach, a white sandy beach with transparent waters. So far it has been quite preserved from urbanization and remains a tranquil and peaceful bay surrounded by pine trees providing a relaxing shade during the hottest hours of the day.
For snorkeling lovers, Surin beach offers good opportunities but during the raining season, the visibility is not very good. In addition, big waves and strong currents make swimming dangerous and you should always pay attention to the color of the flags.
Concerning Surin village, it is the heart of the Muslim community in Phuket. Along the road you will see the Baan Thao Mosque. This impressive building is richly decorated and is the largest Mosque of the island. Visitors are allowed.
