Muay Thai, or Thai Boxing, is a martial art that was in use in the Khmer empire army. It was adopted by the Thai military during the 15th century after the victory of the Kingdom of Ayutthaya Siamese over the Khmer Empire of Angkor. Besides, origins of Muay Thai can be found in traditional martial arts such as Muay Boran (traditional boxing) and Krabi Krabong (boxing practiced with weapons).
