There are several viewpoints in Phuket that are spectacular, not to say breathtaking, and that definitely worth the trip.
The Big Buddha
The most impressive one is arguably The Big Buddha in Kata beach. You will have a 360° view over Phuket and at the top of the hill, a 45 meters high sculpture of Buddha thrones. Covered with Burmese white marble, the image shines under the sun.
On the road from Kata beach to Nai Harn, you will find Kata view point which you have certainly seen on many photos of Phuket and post cards as it offers a magnificent view over Kata Noi, Kata Yai and Karon bays.
Promthep Cape Viewpoint
If you continue to Nai Harn, you will find Promthep Cape viewpoint, which is the most famous in Phuket with beautiful and inspiring sunsets. The Kanchanabhisek Lighthouse built on the cape is commemorating the 50th anniversary of H.M. the King’s ascension to the throne.
Kao Rang Hill Viewpoint
Less popular but beautiful, Kao Rang hill offers beautiful views of Phuket Town and some of the island nearby. There are very good Thai restaurants located close to the viewpoint.
